Bulletin Board: Barb Killeen leads way in Tuesday Women’s League at CCG

Barb Killeen finished with the top point quota of plus-five in the Tuesday Women’s League at Country Club of Greenfield this week. 

Nancy Robie took second (-1) while Michele Hazlett and Danica Hochstetler tied for third (-2). 

In Flight Two, Irene McDonald was the winner (plus-9), Anne Echeverria took second (5) and Julie Bailey came in third (2). In the 9 Hole Flight, Barb Morris won (7), Ann McHugh took second (0) and Sue McDonald came in third (-1). 

High school baseball

Turners 4, Gateway 2 — Kainen Stevens struck out four in six innings work while adding an RBI at the plate in the Thunders’ non-playoff win over the Gators on Monday in Turners. 

Jackson Cogswell doubled and drove in two, Ethan Eichorn doubled and Ledwin Villafana added a hit in the win.

Greenfield Garden Cinema 16, Vermont Wildcats 6 — Samantha Rider blasted a grand slam and Penelope Gioules and Hannah Sheperd each added two hits in Greenfield Garden’s victory Tuesday. 

Triton Automotive 8, Greenfield Garden Cinema 8 — Lindsey Hawkins knocked two hits in Triton’s tie with Greenfield Garden Tuesday.

Lundgren Honda 8, Denny’s Pantry 7 — Brody Suhl pitched and tallied a pair of hits and RBIs at the plate, Sean Degan pitched and added four hits while Onalaya Locke recorded three hits in Lundgren’s AAA win Tuesday.

Vinnie Toothaker cracked four hits, Mason Lovett had two hits and George Bodzinski hit safely for Denny’s.
