Bulletin Board: Isaac Bingham wins 2nd straight Northfield Summer Road Race Series event

For the second week in a row, Isaac Bingham led the pack by winning the Northfield Summer Road Race Series event on Thursday.
Bingham took first with a time of 18 minutes, 57 seconds on the 3.1-mile course.
Ben Emberley (19:23) came in second, followed by Dylan Briewick (20:26), William Thomas (22:31) and Marcy Cabanas (22:38). Twenty-one runners and five walkers participated.
This is the 14th season of the road race series. The race takes place every Thursday starting and finishing at 105 Main Street in Northfield. Cost is $5 per runner with $10 max per family. Walkers are welcome and can choose a shorter distance. The race is a Northfield Recreation Commission event.
Northfield Golf Club
Andy Sena and Dan Castine shot the low gross (35) followed by Dan Grybko and Mike Stephens (38) in the Timmons-Messer League at Northfield Golf Club Wednesday.
Nate Pecor and Harry Hyams had the low net (26) followed by Bob Moco and Janet Small (27). Tom Almstead won closest to the pin on No. 6 (11 feet, nine inches) while Jeff Seymour won on No. 7 (9-0). Sena was the medalist (35).

The Greenfield Post 81 Junior Legion team kicked off its season on Thursday against West Side, Post 81 walking away with a 2-1 victory.
Hunter Donahue and Nick Prasol hit back-to-back doubles to seal the win in the sixth for Greenfield. Aiden Shea and Paxton Phelps each tallied hits, Arthur Fitzpatrick got the win on the mound by scattering three hits in 6 2/3 innings work before Greg King got the final out after Fitzpatrick hit his pitch limit.

Gruber & Tripp Law 11, Fitzgerald Real Estate 10 – Joey O’Hara went 5-for-5 scoring five runs, EJ Morley was 4-for-4 with two runs, and Weston Sibley smacked the walk-off single in extra innings to power Gruber & Tripp on Thursday.
Sam Adams, Will Adams, Liam Grant and Ethan Martin each had two hits for Fitzgerald.
Denny’s Pantry 13, Rotary 10 — Connor Bergeron singled and doubled while George Bodzinski, EJ Provost, Mason Lovett and Andrew Quintana singled in Denny’s AAA playoff win Wednesday.
Solomon O’Neil Evans doubled and added two singles, Elijah Kolosewicz doubled and Reed Williams added two hits in the loss.
Freedom Credit Union 2, Greenfield Elks 1 — Freedom capped off an unbeaten regular season on Thursday as Morgan Beckwith pitched, Maddison Bernard knocked three hits and Adeline Ebbighausen played well at first which led to a victory over the Elks.
Sydney Brown collected two hits while Zoey Taylor had two hits and an RBI in the loss.
