Bulletin board: Unkles, Silk capture Greenfield Tennis Cup titles

The Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters Greenfield Tennis Cup was held on Saturday at both the Highland Courts and Beacon Courts, with Steve Stone and Thomas Unkles meeting up in the championship match.
Unkles earned a 6-2 set win to take him the trophy.
Lexi Silk was the winner in the Women’s Division, taking home the most victories. Francie Garanin took second.
The next Greenfield Tennis Association Tournament is the People’s Pint Doubles Tournament July 12-13.
Northfield Open
The Northfield Golf Club held its Open Championship on Saturday, and Kevin Wheeler captured the title with a round of 68.
Andy Lesenski placed second (71) while Jesse Morgan IV took third (73). Dylan Wesley shot the low net (67) followed by a tie for second between Chris Seymour, Randy Sawin, Shane Foster and Mike Potter (69).
In the B Division, Brian Deane took first (79) followed by Paul Barnard (81) and Ike Purington (83). Scott Powers shot the low net (63), with Nate Pecor taking second (64) and Curtis Hunting settling for third (65).

Michelle Morgan was the winner in the Women’s Division, shooting an 80. Sally Malloy placed second (95). Deb Putnam shot the low net (69) followed by Joan Fitzgerald (73).
Closest to the pin winners were Anthony Consolini on No. 6 (3 feet, 10 inches), Dylan Wesley on No. 7 (1-5), Kevin Wheeler on No. 15 (9-0) and Paul Miarecki on No. 16 (4-2). Longest drive winners were Wheeler and Mo Hamlin on both No. 9 and 18.
Country Club of Greenfield results
• Jim Patterson and Matthew Patterson were the winners in the Two-Person Scramble at Country Club of Greenfield Saturday, shooting a 14-under 58.
Andy Rogers and Andy Dastoli tied with Justin McCloud and Brady Booska for second (59), Will Conant and Ronnie Emanuelson took fourth (62) while the pairing of David Koritkoski and Mike Lavalle, Doug Riel and David Laporte, Kevin St. Laurent and Ryan Burnette, Steve Mihalek and Connor Sheehan and Tom Herzig and Ryan Sullivan for fifth (63).
In net scoring Ken Cook and Michael Johnson took first (56), Dennis Boldyga and Jodi Rathbun tied with Frank McDonald and Jeff Neipp as well as Matt Llewelyn and Joe Keene for second (59) while Carl Hoynoski and Josh Waldron tied with Gary Blanchette and Tom Wiencek, Mike Covey and Rich Young and Patrick Varner and Matt Van Dale for fifth (60).
• In the Husband and Wife Championship at CCG on Sunday, Elizabeth Archer and Mike Archer were crowned the winners with a score of 69.
Andrew Wroblewski and Corrie Wroblewski took second (73). Casey Downie and Keegan Downie tied with Mark Jackson and Brenda Jackson for the low net (63). Jay Currie and Sarah Currie tied with Anthony Laurenitis and Kylie Laurenitis for the low modified net (68).
Senior Legion
Greenfield Post 81 5, North Adams Post 125 4 — Post 81 trailed 4-0 going into the fifth when it rallied, scoring five runs in the frame. Caleb Thomas — who went the distance on the mound, striking out six — shut North Adams down the rest of the way to complete the comeback on the road Monday.
Braeden Tsipenyuk singled and drove in two, Michael Hioe singled in a run while Conner Bergeron, Luca Siano and Shawn Baumann hit safely in the victory.
Pittsfield 8, Greenfield Post 81 3 — Tied at two going into the fourth inning, Pittsfield exploded for four runs and held on from there to take down visiting Post 81 on Sunday.
Ethan Mauthe singled, doubled and drove in a run, Baumann singled in a run while Thomas added a base hit in the loss. Hugh Cyhowski pitched the first four innings, striking out six. Hioe struck out one in his two innings on the hill.
Tri-County
TFAC/Parody Builders 9, Teddy Bear Pools 5 — Owen Phelps pitched a complete game and gave up just two earned runs, and Liam Datres de la Blotier doubled twice to drive in two in TFAC/Parody’s win on Monday in Holyoke.
Colin Cloutier and Dylen Richardson each singled and doubled while Cal Bullens hit a home run in the victory.

JC Electric 14U 10, Frontier 3 - Osiah Ballard struck out 10, Colton Corey knocked two hits while Colton Cunningham and Asa Stebbins each drove in two runs in JC Electric’s victory on Friday at Herlihy Park.
Luca Pontani, Theo D’Urso and Drew Crutch each hit safely for Frontier.
GMLB
Lundgren Honda lifted the GMLB AAA championship trophy last week with a 15-13 win over Denny's Pantry. Additional details weren’t provided.
Franklin County League
Magic 9, Havoc 4 — Corinne Charlebois singled, doubled, homered and drove in three, Talia Garretson singled and doubled, Emily Kajka singled in a run and struck out 14 in the circle while Haddie Connelley added a hit and an RBI in the Magic’s victory on Monday.
Lexi Hawkins struck out 11, Molly Gouin singled in a run while Hawkins and Alli Cleveland hit safely for the Havoc.
Menace 9, Flyers 0 — The Menace put eight runs on the board in the fourth inning to take down the Flyers on Monday.
Raine Wonsey struck out 14 and scattered just one hit while Rileyanne Tine had the lone hit of the day for the Magic. Chloe Lane struck out eight and scattered just one hit while Breanna Kempf hit safely in the loss.
Bombers 18, Wolfpack 2 — Sienna LaFlesh struck out 14 and added a hit and four RBIs at the plate while Sarah LaFlesh, Kayden Viencek and Isabella Liebenow recorded a hit and two RBIs in the Bombers’ triumph on Monday.
Celia Fox knocked three hits including a double, Kiely Kinchla finished with two hits and Makayla Kingsley hit safely in the loss.
