NORTHFIELD — Greenfield Cooperative Bank has announced the 50th anniversary of its Northfield branch. To commemorate this milestone, the bank will host a celebration on Monday, May 19, at the branch, 144 Main St.
Snacks and swag items will be available while supplies last, and there will be a drawing for a $50 gift card to Northfield Creamie.
“On behalf of the Northfield branch, we would like to thank all of our customers,” Branch Manager Kristen Canedy said in a statement. “We are proud to have served this community for 50 years and look forward to the next 50.”
HOLYOKE — Greenfield Cooperative Bank will host a free information session designed to equip first-time homebuyers with the knowledge and confidence to navigate the home-buying journey. Led by Vice President – Community Engagement Mortgage Officer Victor Rodriguez, the info session will provide insights from industry experts on various aspects of purchasing a home.
The session — which is for informational purposes only and does not offer a certificate of completion — will be held Thursday, May 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Holyoke Public Library, 250 Chestnut St.

GREENFIELD — Lundgren Honda of Greenfield has donated $1,237.50 to the Franklin Area Survival Center in Turners Falls.
“We believe deeply in the vital work the Franklin Area Survival Center does to provide essential resources and a lifeline to individuals and families facing hardship,” General Manager Mike Perry said in a statement. “It’s our hope that this donation will help the center continue to make a tangible difference in the lives of community members, offering a beacon of hope and stability during challenging times.”

GREENFIELD — The Blooming Greenfield team is prepping for another season of flower barrels downtown and in the city’s business districts.
Flower barrels are $75 each. Businesses are invited to order their barrels, which can be placed in front of their storefronts or at a location of their choice, at greenfieldbusiness.org/x/2042/2025-Blooming-Greenfield-Flower-Barrels-Order-Form.
Each sponsorship includes a barrel full of seasonal florals, sporting the sponsoring business’ name/personal message. The flowers will be cared for by a Blooming Greenfield volunteer. Barrels will be put out and planted over Memorial Day weekend, and will be maintained and watered through late September.
