A majestic maple tree was toppled during Tuesday’s high winds at the Country Club of Greenfield, just missing the 18th green. The tree was part of the iconic view from the deck of the clubhouse and Terrazza restaurant but was growing on a ledge that the roots could not anchor in. CCG was closed Tuesday morning and had to cancel a tournament before reopening at 1:30 p.m.
