Eight incumbents granted another term in Buckland election

BUCKLAND — With no contested races on the ballot, Buckland saw no surprises in its town election on Tuesday.

All eight incumbents seeking reelection were granted another term by voters. Sixty-three voters cast their ballots out of 1,386 registered voters, making for a 4.5% turnout.

The results are as follows:

■Selectboard, three-year term — Lawrence Wells, 55 votes.

■Board of Health, three-year term — Carmela Lanza-Weil, 59 votes.

■Board of Health, one-year term — Kate Conlin, 61 votes.

■Board of Assessors, three-year term — Marion Scott, 63 votes.

■Buckland Public Library trustees, three-year term — George Dole, 62 votes.

■Finance Committee, two seats with three-year terms — Paula Consolo, 62 votes, and Robert Dean, 62 votes.

■Mohawk Trail Regional School District School Committee, three-year term — Martha Thurber, 56 votes.
