Greenfield Knights of Columbus annual Hoop Shoot set for Saturday

The Greenfield Knights of Columbus annual Hoop Shoot is coming up this weekend. 

The Hoop Shoot is slated for Saturday, Jan. 18, beginning at 3 p.m. at Franklin County’s YMCA in Greenfield. The event is open to all boys and girls ages 9-14 in Franklin County.

Youth basketball

Quest Peterson scored 10 points, Ryan Jordan and Max Myers both had eight points and Nissa Burnett had four points in Erving’s 36-24 win over Vernon this weekend. 

Youth hockey

Jacoby Houle had two goals, Nicholas Brisson scored while Samuel Edson and Emerson Snow had assists in FCHA 10U’s 3-2 win over Brattleboro Saturday. 

On Sunday FCHA 10U beat Holy Name, 11-3, behind three goals from Edson, two goals and an assist from Finnegan Connelly, two goals from Braith Brothers while Aiden Baldwin (goal), Charles Barbato (assist), Brisson (assist), Harper Coffin (goal), Gavin Demado (assist), Houle (goal, assist) and Andrew Quintana (assist) contributed in the win. 

Middle schools

Casey Burke scored 11 points and Phil Brodeur added nine points in Greenfield’s 49-24 win over Athol Monday.
