Monday, April 28

8:58 a.m. — Report of an unwanted person at the homeless shelter on Arch Place. Male got into his vehicle and left. Clinical & Support Options was advised to seek a no-trespass notice via the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

9:59 a.m. — Report of customer impersonation at Greenfield Savings Bank on Main Street. Multiple screenshots of an unknown male were shown to the victim. Victim did not recognize the individual. Bank reported the suspect used a fake ID of the victim. Services rendered.

5:05 p.m. — Town bylaw violation across from the Winslow building on Wells Street. Rene Franzen, 64, of Wells Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a charge of open container/drinking alcohol in public.

Tuesday, April 29

5:59 a.m. — Crystal Lynn Vieu, 39, of Lilac Court in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of trafficking in 18 grams or more/less than 36 grams of heroin/morphine/opium, trafficking in 36 grams or more/less that 100 grams of cocaine and conspiracy to violate drug law.

6:21 a.m. — Alaisiah T. Russell, 29, of Federal Street in Greenfield, was arrested on Central Street in Turners Falls on charges of trafficking in 18 grams or more/less than 36 grams of heroin/morphine/opium, trafficking in 36 grams or more/less that 100 grams of cocaine and conspiracy to violate drug law. Also arrested was Raziel Garcia, 20, of Springfield, on charges of trafficking in 36 grams or more/less than 100 grams of heroin/morphine/opium, trafficking in 36 grams or more/less that 100 grams of cocaine and conspiracy to violate drug law. Arrested on the same three charges as Garcia is Taveon Keron Awosika, 19, of Springfield.

6:22 a.m. — Caller from Smith Street reports her daughter’s gray 2012 Toyota Camry was stolen overnight and that their other vehicles had been gone through. The South Windsor (Connecticut) Police Department called to say the Camry was found in their town.

7:47 a.m. — Report of a vehicle break-in on Alden Street. Both a black 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer and a brown 2017 Toyota Corolla were gone through. Money was taken from one vehicle and the registration was taken out of the other. Services rendered.

5:12 p.m. — Report of breaking and entering into a vehicle on West Street. Reporting party reports the only thing taken from the blue 2015 Mazda CX-9 was his wallet. The wallet contained some cash, a debit card, a credit card and his license. Caller discovered the theft by getting an alert to his phone that his card was declined at Cumberland Farms on Federal Street. Report issued.

8:49 p.m. — Report of an unwanted person on Beech Street. Male party with a white dog went to the front door and back door trying to get in. Reporting party advised it is a reoccurring issue. Advised of options.

Wednesday, April 30

6:45 a.m. — Report of breaking and entering into a vehicle on Camp Avenue. Spoke with reporting party who advised he is going to try to obtain video footage.

10:11 a.m. — Report of a parking problem at High Street and Madison Circle. Reporting party states there is a blue 2009 Chevrolet Silverado that pulled up on the lawn and is blocked off by cones in front of the stop sign. Spoke with registered owner who agreed to move the vehicle.

4:41 p.m. — Report of two gunshots heard near Wendy’s on Federal Street. Officer spoke with the driver of a camper in the parking lot of Wendy’s. It was determined that the sound was the camper backfiring.

7:02 p.m. — Report of breaking and entering into a vehicle at Home Depot on the Mohawk Trail. Reporting party believes someone broke into his vehicle and took his wallet while he was shopping. Wife took his wallet. Issue resolved.

8:40 p.m. — Report of six gunshots heard on Meadow Wood Drive. Unfounded.

Thursday, May 1

8:03 a.m. — Bullet found by the entrance to Home Depot on the Mohawk Trail. One rifle round secured.

12:52 p.m. — Report of a child about 6 years old left alone in a vehicle on Legion Avenue, behind Green Fields Market. Mother ran inside for a few minutes, leaving the air conditioning on with the vehicle locked. Mother was advised to bring the child inside with her.

6:58 p.m. — Caller reports a male party is hitting golf balls toward houses on Wells Street. No one in the area with golf balls found.

10:39 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported on Frederick Road. Caller would like an officer to check the hallway on the second or third floor, believes someone is sleeping in their hallway. Two parties observed sleeping in the hallway on the third floor. Both parties were noncompliant. One person took off on foot upon officer’s arrival. Candace Lee Maguire, 26, of Washington Street in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of violating a harassment prevention order and intimidating a witness/juror/police/court official.

Friday, May 2

4:25 p.m. — Caller believes it is unsafe for protesters to be at the Interstate 91 overpass on Leyden Road while the bridge is under construction. Spoke with folks on the bridge, no safety concerns.

5:43 p.m. — Reporting party states he chased someone off from breaking into his car this morning on Petty Plain Road and just now found four phones on the ground. Caller states he found the items on the ground near his neighbor’s property and will come to the station to return the property.

Saturday, May 3

12:32 p.m. — Forgery/fraud reported at Oak Courts. Caller requesting to speak to an officer regarding her Department of Transitional Assistance card being skimmed at Stop & Shop. Caller was planning on shopping at Walmart, so she checked her card balance first because her card had been compromised in the past and she found the card with no balance on it, with a loss of $216. Card was also compromised in February. Report issued.

2:57 p.m. — Report of a vehicle operating erratically on Bernardston Road. Reporting party stating a blue Subaru was driving all over the road and has now pulled into a driveway. Vehicle gone on arrival.
