Greenfield Police Logs: June 9 to June 15, 2025

Monday, June 9

3:47 a.m. — Reporting party states two people are attempting to break into a garage on Bernardston Road. Unable to provide a description of the vehicle, which left heading toward Bernardston. Reporting party saw two people on the cameras leaving the residence. They were not able to gain access to the garage.

10:42 a.m. — Reporting party states he received a fraudulent call from someone stating they were from the Drug Enforcement Administration and that his dental license was compromised. Reporting party states he checked and saw his dental license was still valid. Wanted the incident documented.

8:14 p.m. — Caller from Oak Courts reports a male party shot an individual with a BB gun, “leaving a hole in her leg.” They declined an ambulance. Brandom Diaz, 20, of Montague City Road in Turners Falls, was arrested on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon (two counts), and assault and battery on a child with injury.

Tuesday, June 10

12:12 p.m. — Reporting party reports a male party is recording people, their vehicles and license plates at McDonald’s on Federal Street. Nobody matching that description was found in the area. Checked with staff and made them aware of the complaint.

3:52 p.m. — Caller states she got a call from a Springfield deputy threatening her. She said he was telling her she was going to be arrested and not to hang up the phone, stating she missed court today. Reporting party realized it was a scam and hung up on the caller. Nothing further needed.

4:52 p.m. — Caller reports a possible fight on Court Square. Clement Borrmeo De Guzman, 54, of Springfield, was arrested on a warrant.

5:41 p.m. — After a traffic stop at Grove and Beech streets, Bradley Edward Trombley, 49, of Allen Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant.

Wednesday, June 11

7:54 a.m. — Caller at Big Y on the Mohawk Trail reports receiving a counterfeit $20 bill on May 25. Secured. Report issued.

8:13 a.m. — Caller states there are two males yelling at each other on Elm Street. Believes it may get physical. While on the phone, reporting party states the older male went into the trunk of an older blue sedan and pulled out what looked like a tire iron. Male parties could be heard yelling in the background. Officer advises the involved parties have separated. Disturbance over past issues involving a bicycle and video games. Situation mediated and advised of options.

10:23 a.m. — Hold-up alarm activated at Franklin First Federal Credit Union on Newton Street. Spoke with the head teller who stated it was accidental. Confirmed false alarm.

10:43 a.m. — Female party is reportedly yelling at people at the John W. Olver Transit Center on Olive Street. Danica Varso, 24, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery on a family/household member.

3:56 p.m. — Caller states she found a dog tied outside the courthouse on Hope Street and she is concerned about it. Does not intend to leave until she makes contact with an officer. Owner later arrived and left with the dog.

4:03 p.m. — Caller reports a crash on Silver Street with no injuries. Pole down in the road. Timothy Edwin Grogan, 72, of Montague City Road in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of OUI-liquor over .08%, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop/yield.

10:09 p.m. — Traffic stop on High Street. Dasean J. Taylor, 33, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, was arrested on a warrant.

10:42 p.m. — Christopher Lee Gonyea, 31, of South Street in Ashfield, was arrested on Bernardston Road on charges of possession of a Class A drug, possession of a Class B drug, possession of a Class E drug and a marked lanes violation.

Thursday, June 12

12:42 p.m. — Reporting party reports there is a man standing at the end of a driveway on Colrain Road with a compound bow and arrows “staring at traffic” going by. Would like the man checked on. Long bow at target, all OK.

3:15 p.m. — Breaking and entering into a vehicle reported at Kennametal on Sanderson Street. Wallet was stolen.

Friday, June 13

9:23 a.m. — Reporting party on Grove Street states his mother opened his mail. Label with his name was covered. Party was advised that for future reference, he can move to his own address or have a talk with his mother before calling the police.

11:10 a.m. — Rachel Leonilda Loso, 34, of Congress Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant on Congress Street.

11:29 a.m. — Report of breaking and entering into a vehicle on Beech Street. Two unlocked vehicles were entered overnight. A black cloth wallet with teal embroidery and a wireless 4-inch speaker were stolen.

7:46 p.m. — Report of a trespassing individual at the Community Justice Support Center on Main Street. Anthony Nicholas Rocco, 25, of Conway Street in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of trespassing and open container/drinking alcohol in public.

Saturday, June 14

11:50 a.m. — Numerous 911 calls received about two male parties physically fighting in front of Franklin County’s YMCA on Main Street. No weapons reported. Cause of the fight was that a Jeep almost struck a pedestrian.

2:24 p.m. — Reporting party states people at Pierce and Chapman streets are possibly selling a gun. Pellet gun, advised to be sure the purchaser is 18.

4:11 p.m. — Report of an unwanted person at CVS Pharmacy on Federal Street. Male in the parking lot is asking people for money and was asked to leave by store employees. Could not locate.

Sunday, June 15

9:17 a.m. — Reporting party states her bicycle was taken a few days ago from her home. She stated she posted a picture of it on Facebook and someone reached out to her saying the bike was seen on Davis Street. Made contact with the tenants at the location. Bike was returned to owner.

1:12 p.m. — Report of an injured bobcat on Barton Road. Call was referred to the animal control officer.

3:18 p.m. — Caller reports a fawn is in a driveway on River Street and no other deer are around. Reporting party wants it to get to the woods safely. Deer gone on arrival.

7:22 p.m. — Emily Ann Dickinson, 41, of Elm Street in Greenfield, was arrested on Conway Street on a warrant.
