GREENFIELD — A Greenfield man was arrested on drug trafficking charges Monday night following a joint investigation by the Greenfield Police Department, the Northwestern District Anti-Crime Task Force and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s Springfield office.

Jose Rodriguez, 45, was arraigned in Greenfield District Court on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty to one count of trafficking in cocaine (100 to 200 grams) and trafficking in fentanyl (10 grams or more). He was ordered held on $50,000 bail.

While executing a search warrant, investigators and special agents seized approximately 114 grams of suspected cocaine, approximately 650 bags of suspected heroin/fentanyl and $112,696, according to the Greenfield Police Department’s Facebook page. The money was seized as evidence and is in the possession of the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office, which will decide what to do with it.
