Local Roundup: Frontier girls track takes second at Steele Relays

The Dr. George Steele Relays took place on Saturday in West Springfield, with the Frontier girls placing second, the Pioneer girls taking seventh, the Mohawk Trail girls tying for eighth and the Redhawk boys finishing in eighth place.
For the Frontier girls, Lilly Novak won the discus relay (101 feet, 11 inches), sixth in shot put (29-11.25) and took ninth in javelin (94-10), Abbi Grover took fifth in discus (86-10), Mary Burt took second in high jump (5-0), Maia Christensen took fourth in high jump (4-8), Bailey Cusson placed fifth in javelin (94-10), Elsa Brown took second in pole vault (8-0) followed by Olive Klaus in third (8-0) and Liv Christensen in fourth (7-6) while Hannah Davis came in ninth in triple jump (31-7.25). The Redhawks came in fourth in the 400 distance medley (15:08.11) and fourth in the 4x100 shuttle hurdle (1:13.78).
For the Frontier boys Adrien Pazmandy won pole vault (12-6), John Reloj came in eight in discus (116-11), Julian Adams took ninth in discus (115-9) and Julian Adams took seventh in javelin (126-0). The Redhawks won the 4000 distance medley (11:05.85).
Mitchell Krasco won triple jump (44-1.25) for the Mahar boys while Stellina Moore came in seventh in high jump (4-8), Kathryn McGinnis came in ninth in high jump (4-5) for the Senator girls. The Mahar boys came in fourth in the 4x110 shuttle hurdle (1:14.42).
Morgan Raffa came in fourth in discus (87-0) and fourth in javelin (100-11) while Avery Johnston placed seventh in shot put (27-11.5) while the Mohawk Trail girls. The Warrior girls also won the 4000 distance medley (13:45.8).
For the Pioneer girls, Natalie Rios won the javelin (108-4), Louise Flagollet came in fourth in the high jump (4-8), Emmanuelle Flagollet came in sixth in high jump (4-8), Daniela Teaca and Sahanna Heilman tied for fourth in the long jump (14-10.5), Charley Harrington placed eighth in the triple jum p(31-8.75) while the Paqnthers 4x100 relay team took fourth (51.72) and its 4x100 shuttle hurdle team came in second (1:10.79).

Julia Wallace sank her first career hole in one on Sunday, doing so at Northfield Golf Club.

In a May ABCD contest at CCG on Sunday, David McDonald, Matt Vete, Terry Sinclair and Valerie Esquer took first with a score of 142.
David Singer, Gail Miller, Mike Archer and Ric Weinman came in second (144) followed by Dave Collette, Nancy Robie, Paul French and Tom Smith in third (147). Jim McHugh, Joe Wisneski, Kimberly French and Michael Duclos Jr. shot the low net (106) followed by Michael Duclos, Noah Graves, Rob Morin and James Small (112) and Dylan Archer, Julie Beres, Lou LaPlante and Daniel Bassett (113).

Maniatty’s 4, Smitty’s 3 — Jackson Puchalski pitched and singled, Preston Charboneau had two hits and Damien Shields hit safely in Maniatty’s win Saturday. Owen Castine signled, Kayden Snow-Rose scored and Malcom Tyler pitched in the loss.
Jackson Puchalski pitched 5 inning and singled in Brock puchalski in the to of the 6th. Preston Charbenou was 2-2 and Damien shields add a hit in the win.
Lundgren Honda 5, Pioneer Valley Tire 3 — Brody Suhl pitched, Josiah Viveiros had three hits and Brock Puchalski had two hits in Lundgren’s win Saturday. Parker Smith-LaClaire had three hits, Hunter Wilkens pitched and Wyatt Wilkins had two hits in the loss.
Pioneer Valley Tire 10, Lundgren Honda 6 — The second game of a doubleheader saw PV Tire earn a win behind two hits from Sean Degan, an RBI from William Simanski and two hits from Joseph Locke. Colton Urkiel and Mason Facey each had two hits while Cody Castine added four hits in the loss.
Cherry Rum Auot 10, Freedom Credit Union 9 — Rylan Little and Willard Keane each had five hits while Silas Dodge added two hits in Cherry Rum’s win Saturday.
Aubuchon Hardware 14, Liberty Tax 5 — Noah Marguet pitched and had two hits while Ben Trombley and Lew Graves both had two hits in Aubuchon’s win Saturday. Braith Brothers, Emerson Snow and Cooper Deane each had a hit in the loss.
Ginger Cat Sealcoating 9, Fitzgerald Real Estate 6 — Kydanie Rivera had three tripled while Zach Bensen and Wyatt Lapine combined for six hits in Ginger Cat’s win Saturday. Oliver Avery, Connor Trainor and Liam Grant each had three hits for Fitzgerald.
Gruber and Tripp 9, Ruggeri Real Estate 6 — Carter Sikoski had two hits, Asher Tripp had three hits and two RBIs and Phil Hannon doubled twice in Gruber’s loss Saturday.
Franklin First Credit Union 6, Sandri Companies 1 — Grace Hickey, Charlotte Cooley and Grayson Baker each had four hits in Franklin’s win Saturday. LilyMelissa Beckwith had three hits ins the loss.
