It was a record-breaking day for the Pioneer girls track team last week at the Warrior Invitational in Foxborough.

Sahana Heilman broke a pair of Panther girls school records. She set the record in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.35 seconds, which placed her third overall at the meet, while also breaking the school record in the long jump with a leap of 16 feet, 6 inches.

Emmanuelle Flagollet broke the Pioneer girls school record in the 400 hurdles with a time of 71.9 seconds, placing eighth on the day, while Natalie Rios broke the school record in the javelin with a toss of 116-8, placing her second at the meet.

The Panthers’4x100 relay team of Heilman, Flagollet, Dani Teaca and Louise Flagollet broke the school record with a time of 51.81 seconds, placing third.

Also at the meet, Louise Flagollet took second in the 400 (60.89).

“I knew these girls were going to break records this season, but I never imagined they'd break so many, so soon— and all in one day,” Pioneer track coach Matt Heilman said. “Their hard work and positive attitudes are really paying off.”
