President Donald Trump and Elon Musk (and many others in our government) are sociopathically impressed with themselves. Both of these individuals suffer from the illness of right now and never enough, and are thus unable to respect the mindset of citizen participation, modesty and acceptance that lies behind democracy, or order itself.

Like upset toddlers knocking down play block structures, they measure themselves more by their power to impress than by their practical contributions to their country’s destiny.

Having these two operating together in government presents an existential risk to stable evolution, from our Franklin County neighborhoods to the entire globe. The world is not their sandbox. They must be restrained. The world belongs to all life, and is in desperate need of our delicacy and patience.
