Monday, June 16

2:01 p.m. — Reporting party on Montague City Road requesting an officer come to her residence. States someone stole her iPad and cellphone. Caller was advised an officer will be made aware and will respond when someone is available. Reporting party called back stating she found her iPad but still wants an officer to go there. She was advised an officer would be made aware. Caller was unhappy and hung up. Officer called her back and she hung up again.

2:18 p.m. — Caller on Wendell Road reports she had an alpaca escape. Report taken.

4:10 p.m. — Reporting party on Dell Street states a bear is in her neighbor’s yard and they are on vacation. She’s worried about his chickens. Contacted animal control, states he is in the area and he will see if he can locate the bear. Animal control officer states the bear has been shooed away. Bear sightings were also reported on O Street and Laurel Lane.

Tuesday, June 17

12:11 p.m. — Taylor Spelman, 34, of Main Street in Montague Center, was arrest on a warrant.

5:41 p.m. — Officer spoke with a party on Montague City Road about the hedges impeding the sidewalk. States they spoke with them last week and the hedges still haven’t been trimmed.

Wednesday, June 18

4:49 p.m. — Reporting party on Avenue A states someone took a picture of her plate and she wants to know why. Male is on foot walking toward the Turners Falls Pizza House. Caller is following in her white pickup truck. Advised of options.

Thursday, June 19

4:07 p.m. — Reporting party states a tall man is walking in the middle of the road on Montague City Road. Reporting party states the man stood in the road and stared him down while he was trying to drive past. Referred to an officer. Party is in Greenfield on the sidewalk at this time.

4:43 p.m. — Caller on Turners Falls Road states there was some fraudulent activity on his bank card and the account has been drained. Caller has already reported it with the bank and wants to file a police report.

8:14 p.m. — Caller on G Street states a baseball went through her car window. Officer advised.

Friday, June 20

4:08 a.m. — Caller states she can hear a dog that sounds like it is in distress as it’s been barking for more than an hour. Reporting party states she is unsure of the dog’s location but she can hear it on T Street. Officer advised.

2:26 p.m. — Caller states there appears to be a sinkhole forming at the storm drain on the corner of Avenue A and Fifth Street. Department of Public Works supervisor was notified.

3:52 p.m. — Reporting party on Randall Road states she got a message on her answering machine that “funds have successfully been transferred.” Would like to speak to an officer. Advised of options.

Saturday, June 21

12:07 p.m. — Reporting party from Davis Street states a neighbor is in her car blasting music so loud that he can’t hear his TV. Officer advised the female party of the complaint. She turned the music down and is leaving for the day.

Sunday, June 22

9:06 a.m. — Walk-in to the station reports he was helping a female party over the last year by letting her stay in his RV and he found out she is doing drugs/dealing drugs out of the RV. He asked her to leave and she is now threatening him. Call back was made and it went to voicemail. Message left advising of options.
