Montague Police Logs: June 17 to June 23, 2024

9:42 a.m. — Reporting party from Norman Circle would like assistance from an officer in making contact with Duravent about a spill of metal back in April.
11:11 a.m. — Caller requesting lockout assistance. Keys were inside Food City and were given back to her. Services rendered.
6:32 a.m. — Caller from Central Street would like it on record that when he came outside he noticed his truck was covered in little specks of paint. Reporting party came to the station after work so an officer could view the damage. Report taken.
9:51 a.m — Reporting party from Eleventh Street states that a male party who rents a garage behind her house has been being aggressive toward people and was swinging around a sickle. He also reportedly left fake blood spots on the ground near their storage unit. Officer spoke with the involved male’s wife and advised her of the recent behavior.
7:58 a.m. — Caller from Griswold Street reports three tires were slashed overnight. All three tires had 1-inch marks consistent with having been slashed by a sharp object. Reporting party does not have any suspicion of who may have slashed the tires. No cameras in the area.
9:06 p.m. — Reporting party states there is someone in Hair by Phase One on J Street who is not the owner. Showed up in a white vehicle that is parked outside, unable to see license plate. They entered the business and are rummaging through everything in a quick manner. Officers advising all clear, someone is setting up a new chair in the salon.
6:40 p.m. — Reporting party at Fifth and L streets states there is a truck with a tree growing out of the back of it that has been parked in the same spot for more than two years. Caller is concerned something within it might be unstable and possibly explosive at this point. Unable to read license plate. Officers advised.
12:30 p.m. — Reporting party from Morris Avenue reports there is loud music playing in the area that is shaking her air conditioner and disturbing her. Officer advised. Quiet upon arrival.

2:03 p.m. — Reporting party from Federal Street states there is an older Ford Taurus occupied by two men who are soliciting, stopping at every house they can. When asked to leave, they reportedly became argumentative. Headed north on Federal Street. No solicitation permits on file at this time. Officers located the car. Occupants were wearing gear for Trinity Solar. They were made aware they are not allowed to solicit until there is a valid permit on file. Men came to the station, declined to fill out permits and stated they just won’t come to this town again. They mainly go to Home Depots. They were advised of the five villages and town limits.
1:31 a.m. — Officer conducting a traffic stop near the Nouria gas station on Third Street. Ronald Winship, 45, of Third Street in Turners Falls, was arrested on a warrant.
1:55 a.m. — Officer stopped a vehicle on Third Street and arrested Katrina Ann Fisher-Crowley, 38, of Avenue A in Turners Falls, on a warrant.
3:45 p.m. — Walk-in to the station reports there is a lot of furniture, mattresses, couches and a snowmobile frame that has been dumped in the Montague Plains, near the end of Plains Road. Caller states if the Department of Public Works can’t remove the items he is willing to remove them himself. Police to contact DPW and report back.
9:01 p.m. — Caller reports a possibly intoxicated female driver almost hit a street sign and was all over the road. Last seen on Charron Street. Received a second call reporting a white sedan driving on the wrong side of the road, almost hit the reporting party head-on. Last seen heading toward Unity Park. Officer located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop at Dell and Davis streets. Maryann Jean Galvin, 67, of Griswold Street in Turners Falls, was arrested on charges of failure to stop at a stop sign, a marked lanes violation, OUI-liquor over .08% and operating to endanger.
1:16 p.m. — Fire alarm sounding on Chestnut Street. No smoke or fire reported.
