Monday, April 28
8:30 a.m. — Turners Falls High School principal would like to speak with an officer after receiving threats from a grandparent of a student. Advised of options.
1:39 p.m. — Walk-in to the station reports fraudulent charges on her bank account. Report taken.
2:12 p.m. — Walk-in to the station reports her car window was smashed on Third Street, would like to speak to an officer. Referred to an officer.
5:17 p.m. — Reporting party from Turners Falls Road reports fraud on her debit card. Officer advised. Officer spoke to reporting party, she is going to go to the bank to get documentation and bring it to the station.
4:40 a.m. — Reporting party states an individual just attempted to break into her locked vehicle on South High Street, then took off on foot. Too dark to get a clothing description. Unable to locate.
5:53 p.m. — Reporting party on Avenue A states there is a red car with the windows up and two dogs are in the car barking. Caller can’t tell if it is too hot for them. Several parking spots had opened up by police arrival. No vehicle matching the description or plate found.
10:21 a.m. — Reporting party from the Nouria gas station on Third Street would like an officer to pick up counterfeit money. Officer retrieved item.

1:08 p.m. — Reporting party from Fourth Street reports she has a picture or video of someone trying to break into her apartment at around 10 a.m. this morning. She will be coming to the station. Advised of options.
2:22 p.m. — Reporting party went shopping at Food City on Avenue A and used her EBT card and there is now nothing on there. She called Food City to ask why and was told that 20 other people have said the same thing. Also was told they check for skimmers. Reporting party thinks it’s an inside job. Requesting a callback. Referred to an officer.
11:51 a.m. — Reporting party from Center Street would like it on record that he had received a suspicious email saying that he owed money for something that he never ordered. When he called them, he gave a credit card number. He is calling the credit card company to have the account frozen. Services rendered.
5:08 p.m. — Reporting party from Randall Road believes that his ex-girlfriend broke into his home yesterday and possibly today through where the air conditioner is while he was at work. He came home to find the door open and things out of place and chocolate all over the floor, counter and microwave. She does not have a key. Officers advised. At 5:34 p.m., a female called to speak to an officer, states her ex-boyfriend threw her belongings out yesterday, so she went there after 8 a.m. when he went to work to retrieve them. Officer advised. At 5:36 p.m., the female party called back stating the cops were at his home and she was worried that she was going to get arrested as she was at his residence getting her belongings. Officer advised she was not getting arrested and would call her back when he got back to the station. Officer advised her of her options.
89:15 p.m. — Reporting party from Third Street wanted it on record that the neighbor was yelling and screaming between 7:15 and 8:45 p.m. Officer advised.
7:52 a.m. — Alarm company reporting the main entry door alarm is sounding at Greenfield Savings Bank. Female party on scene did not have the proper passcode. Employee on scene, false alarm.
8:22 a.m. — Store manager at Food City on Avenue A states that they found a “skimmer” at one of their registers. Report taken.
2:00 p.m. — Reporting party from Prospect Street is very concerned about the mistreatment of a dog. The reporting party can see the dog being abused (yanked violently) and left outside for several hours (in the pouring rain) tied to a tree, from a window in his home. Reporting party states an older woman with long blondish hair is usually the one yanking and yelling at the dog, but there is also a male party that does it as well. Information was faxed over to the animal control officer.
11:19 a.m. — Reporting party would like it on record that sometime this morning, her EBT account was hacked and all the “available cash” was taken from the account. Reporting party reported it to the agency in charge of these types of benefits and they stated that it has happened a lot around here recently, but they are not planning on returning any benefits to people who had theirs taken.
2:12 p.m. — Reporting party would like it on record that all of his EBT benefits were taken from his account this morning. Several hundred dollars worth.
