Sunday, May 11

6:10 p.m. — Reporting party from East Main Street states there is a child locked in a room in an apartment who has been screaming for more than an hour to be let out. Second floor, right side. Officer advising the child is fine, just overtired.

Monday, May 12

9:23 a.m. — Reporting party was visiting her daughter in Turners Falls the day before and expressed concern over an off-leash pit bull. Caller wanted to speak with an animal control officer. Phone number provided.

2:05 p.m. — Reporting party on 12th Street states it looks like someone shot a BB gun at his car window, would like an officer to respond. Observed a broken rear driver’s side window on an unregistered, uninsured vehicle on blocks in a private yard. Damage consistent with a round from a pellet gun as there was a small center hole in the window.

Tuesday, May 13

5:44 p.m. — Reporting party states there is a male party in the bushes at Griswold Street and Avenue C that appears to be smoking something and making people in the area uncomfortable. Officer out with the male party, who was taking a smoke break from work.

Wednesday, May 14

11:45 a.m. — Caller reports that the car he was a passenger in was just rear-ended at the intersection of Avenue A and Third Street. Both vehicles were towed. Report taken.

Thursday, May 15

12:36 p.m. — Reporting party states that in the afternoons, a few people from Power Town Apartments on Avenue A bring a small black and white dog to the parking lot next to the building, yell at it, yank on the leash and “force” it to drink water. Call information faxed to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office’s animal control officer.

Friday, May 16

1:18 p.m. — Reporting party states that an older white male in a silver Ram pickup truck has been yelling aggressively at her and other Hillcrest Homes residents about their cars being parked on Turners Falls Road near the Griswold Street intersection. He swears at them and calls them various vulgar names. A plate number was given that matches the description of the truck and the reporting party has seen the male party park at his residence before. Male party was advised of the complaint.

2:34 p.m. — Reporting party states that two vehicles routinely come into the parking lot of Johnson Controls on Industrial Boulevard at around 6:40 p.m. and it seems like they are doing some kind of a “deal” in the parking lot. Appears to be two cars, one black and one silver. Reporting party is requesting extra patrols in the area if possible to identify the vehicles. Services rendered.

10:33 p.m. — Reporting party reports multiple cars have been stopped on Federal Street for a prolonged period of time causing a traffic hazard. Unsure what is going on. Officer advises cars are parked off to the side of the road due to a get-together. Not a hazard at this time. Services rendered.

Saturday, May 17

5:18 a.m. — Caller reports loud music has been playing since 4 a.m. Believes the source of the noise to be in the area of Unity Street. Officer advises he checked Prospect Street and Unity Street. No loud noises or music heard.

3:36 p.m. — Manager of Food City on Avenue A reporting theft. Full cart of groceries was stolen by two individuals who were caught on camera. Officers checked a couple locations, unable to identify individuals at this time.

6:08 p.m. — Reporting party states a male party is punching a tree and seems to be out of sorts on Millers Falls Road. Male party moved along.
