Tuesday, May 27

2:26 p.m. — Franklin County Technical School principal reports a male party on a bicycle has shown up twice on campus today. He is talking “jibberish” and is raising concerns among staff. Male party was out for a ride on his new bike. He was advised to stay away from the school.

5:25 p.m. — Reporting party reports an unknown male party is laying on her front lawn on Edward Avenue. Male party told the reporting party he was waiting for a ride as his motorcycle had broken down. Male gone on arrival.

Wednesday, May 28

4:58 p.m. — Reporting party states that Monday through Friday, between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m., motorcycles going more than 100 mph are passing in no-passing zones and doing tricks on Turners Falls Road. Caller is concerned people are going to get hurt and would like to see something done about it. Report taken.

Thursday, May 29

1:06 p.m. — Caller on Sandy Lane reports a white tractor-trailer truck struck a wire and pulled it from the pole. Officer sent. Comcast notified.

Friday, May 30

11:12 a.m. — Reporting party states a male is bothering people in the parking lot of Food City on Avenue A asking for money. Reporting party states the business doesn’t want him there. Referred to an officer.

Saturday, May 31

11:00 p.m. — Caller reports the bar on Third Street has loud music from a band playing. Reporting party states it’s too loud. Officer advised.

Monday, June 2

12:38 p.m. — Reporting party is concerned about overgrown hedges that are blocking drivers’ view on School Street, putting pedestrians in danger. Officer advises the hedges look good and are not overgrown.

6:50 p.m. — Reporting party states a male party is passed out in his vehicle at the entrance to the Montague Plains on Old Northfield Road. Reporting party is no longer in the area. Officer reports the male party was sleeping, no signs of impairment.

3:26 p.m. — Reporting party states she is the manager at the Salvation Army Thrift Store on Avenue A and one of the employees made a copy of the store key. She asked for it back and the employee said no. She is looking for police assistance, possibly Thursday morning. Reporting party will call Thursday at around 8 a.m. to request an officer.

7:46 p.m. — Caller on Franklin Street states she just got home from vacation, and the front door was open and her apartment has been gone through. Believed to be kids going through the house. Officer spoke with neighbors.

Wednesday, June 4

10:45 a.m. — Walk-in is looking to speak to an officer regarding questionable transactions within the condominium association on Walnut Street. Officer advised. Additional caller from the bank is looking to speak to an officer regarding fraud paperwork that was handed in.

3:19 p.m. — Reporting party states a neighbor on Montague City Road was accusing him of letting people into her home. Officer advised him to reach out to the landlord.

Thursday, June 5

1:41 p.m. — Caller from Fairway Avenue requests an officer view a threat on her cellphone. Officer looked at messages. Reporting party was advised it was a scam. Reporting party called back stating it is happening again. The number was blocked and a different number is being used. Officer advised.

9:51 p.m. — Reporting party from Central Street states something is beeping in a neighbor’s apartment. Officer advised. Turners Falls Fire Department notified. Police units cleared, Fire Department remaining on scene.

Friday, June 6

10:43 a.m. — Principal of Hillcrest Elementary School on Griswold Street would like an officer to come speak with a parent who was driving erratically on school property yesterday and was rude to staff who tried to speak with her about it. Advised of options.

2:39 p.m. — Reporting party states his driver from the Lyft app dropped him off and took off with two phones and a laptop that belonged to him once he got out of the car. The driver was supposed to wait for him, but left him and took his stuff. Reporting party had no information to provide about the vehicle, driver or access to the Lyft app. The Lyft driver came into the lobby and said he found the items in the back of the car when he got home.

8:56 p.m. — Reporting party from Walnut Street states there was a small vehicle that just went up the street with the back window down and it sounded like gunfire coming from the car. Reporting party states the car turned around and went back by doing the same thing, then went up the hill on Fairway Avenue. No signs of damage or shell casings. Officer spoke with multiple other people in the area who thought it sounded like an altered exhaust.

Saturday, June 7

7:17 p.m. — Reporting party is requesting police help a turtle cross the road by Food City on Avenue A. Officer removed the animal from the road.

8:34 p.m. — Reporting party states she used her EBT card in Greenfield for $8 and then went to use it at Cumberland Farms in Turners Falls and there wasn’t anything left. Claims there was a charge for $605. Caller believes there is a skimmer at the store and would like to speak to an officer.

11:29 p.m. — Caller reports an intoxicated female party is destroying items inside a house on East Main Street. Danielle Carter, 43, of Stafford Springs, Connecticut, was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace and resisting arrest.

Sunday, June 8

4:33 p.m. — Reporting party states Scottys on Unity Street is closed, but the front door is wide open. No answer for key holder. Officer advising an employee was next door. Walked through, secured door. Confirmed key holder information.
