No contested races on ballot in New Salem election

NEW SALEM — There are no contested races in the town election on Monday, May 5.

Polls will be open at the Town Hall Annex, 24 South Main St., from noon to 8 p.m.

Richard Taupier is running for reelection to his three-year Selectboard seat, and Steven Blinder and Barbara Doyle are running for two seats with three-year terms on the Swift River School Committee.

Stacy Senflug is again running for reelection to a three-year term as town clerk and Cameron Dunbar is doing the same for a three-year position as moderator. Andrew Ohlson is seeking reelection to a three-year term as constable.

The other uncontested races on the ballot are as follows: Lynn Layton, three-year term, Board of Health; David Briand, three-year term, assessor; Brian Uphold, five-year term, Planning Board; and Kathryn Soule-Regine, three-year term, Municipal Light Board.

No one is on the ballot for the available three-year seat as a library trustee.
