BERNARDSTON — The Bernardston Kiwanis Club is finishing up its annual chicken pot pie fundraiser series this weekend with all proceeds supporting The United Arc.
The dinner will be held at the United Church of Bernardston, 58 Church St., on Saturday, April 26, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children. Frozen pot pies will be for sale, too. To reserve a space, call Joel Cole at 413-834-5484.
Meals include chicken pot pie, butternut squash, cranberry sauce, a roll, drinks and homemade carrot cake.
The fundraiser, which has been held for years, is held in remembrance of late Bernardston resident Lillian Deane, who began working with The United Arc in the mid-1960s and served on its board of directors. Lillian Deane and her husband, Russell, also worked with The United Arc to get services for their daughter Nancy Lee, who had Down syndrome.
