WARWICK — The town’s annual ice cream social will be held Sunday, July 6, from 1 to 3 p.m. on the town common, with make-your-own sundae toppings and many varieties of Gifford’s Ice Cream.
Several local performers will provide musical entertainment from the Historical Society’s back porch. Townspeople are also welcome to visit the tag sale on the common, with all proceeds going toward operating costs at the Metcalf Chapel and worldwide mission programs. The Historical Society will be open for visitors.
BERNARDSTON — The Board of Health has voted in favor of transferring responsibility for Title V septic services to the Franklin Regional Council of Governments’ Cooperative Public Health Service, effective July 1.
In making the decision in consultation with other town officials, the Board of Health considered factors such as service delivery and operational efficiency, preservation of local autonomy, fiscal implications and the overall quality of public health services.
Residents and business owners in Bernardston may now access the Cooperative Public Health Service’s online permitting and scheduling system, which offers a streamlined platform for applying for public health permits and scheduling inspections, at frcog.org/cooperative-public-health-service-online-permitting-scheduling. BERNARDSTON — The Powers Institute Museum at 20 Church St. will be open on Sunday, July, 6, from 1 to 4 p.m.
The museum is located on the second floor of the building and is fully accessible. Parking is located to the rear of the building. Admission is free.
