Orange drug bust yields narcotics, cash

ORANGE — The Northwestern Anti-Crime Task Force, with assistance from the Orange Police Department, seized narcotics and cash after executing a search warrant on Chase Street on Wednesday.

According to the Orange Police Department’s Facebook page, authorities recovered approximately 181.5 grams of suspected cocaine, about 770 bags of suspected fentanyl, roughly 84 tablets of suspected ecstasy, various prescription pills and approximately $1,558 in cash following a lengthy investigation that was sparked by complaints from concerned citizens.

An unidentified man was arrested on the charges of trafficking a Class B substance greater than 100 grams (cocaine), trafficking a Class A substance greater than 10 grams (fentanyl), possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute (ecstasy), possession of a Class E substance with intent to distribute, possession of a Class B substance, possession of a Class C substance and possession of a Class E substance.

The investigation is ongoing.
