Sunderland Women’s Club holding fundraiser

SOUTH DEERFIELD — The Sunderland Women’s Club, which is celebrating its 130th birthday this year, is hosting a bingo fundraiser on Friday, March 8, at the South Deerfield Polish Club at 7 p.m.

It is $5 per bingo card, and cash and gift prizes will be awarded. Snacks will be available and there will be a cash bar. Proceeds will benefit several community organizations, including the New England Learning Center for Women in Transition (NELCWIT), the Amherst Survival Center and Craig’s Doors.

Friends of the Sunderland Public Library hosting fundraisers for Pi/Pie Day

SUNDERLAND — The Friends of the Sunderland Public Library’s second annual Pi/Pie Day event on Friday, March 15 will raise money for the library.

The public is invited to stop by the library at 6:30 p.m., where they can enjoy an evening of pie tasting and other pie-related activities. Raffle tickets will be available and are currently on sale at the library. All proceeds benefit the library.

Businesses donating pies and gift certificates include Atkins Farm, Bridgeside Grille, Carefree Cakery, Ciesluk’s Market, Lemon Bakery, Florence Pie Bar, Frontier Pizza, Hillside Pizza, Millstone Market and Rise Above Bakery. Sunderland residents are also contributing.

Shutesbury Democrats to caucus March 16

SHUTESBURY — The Shutesbury Town Democratic Committee will hold a caucus and business meeting on Saturday, March 16, at 10 a.m. at Town Hall, 1 Cooleyville Road.

Registered Democrats will elect delegates to attend the 2024 State Democratic Convention in Worcester on June 1. The meeting is open to all.
