DEERFIELD — Two 16-year-old boys were injured after a Ford F-150 rolled over on Pine Nook Road on Friday afternoon, with one suffering from “severe head injuries,” Police Chief John Paciorek Jr. said.

Deerfield police and firefighters closed a portion of the road near 202 Pine Nook Road at around noon as Department of Public Works members cleared the area and police investigated.

Paciorek said the passenger was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester with severe head injuries, while South County EMS transported the driver to Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield with minor injuries.

While the crash remains under investigation, Paciorek said there’s no indication that alcohol or drugs were involved. He also said the truck did not collide with anything.
