June 13: Summer Social

ROWE — The town of Rowe will hold its annual Summer Social on Sunday, June 13, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Pelham Lake Park.

The afternoon will include food trucks, a pickleball tournament, a car show, live music, face painting, beach games and more.

Art display, meal coming to Elmer’s Community Center

ASHFIELD — Elmer’s Community Center will host an art opening and fundraising pop-up on Wednesday, July 9.

From 6 to 8 p.m., attendees can enjoy a menu offering salmon, veggie or beef burgers, chips and pickles for $10. Until 9 p.m., beer or cider will be sold for $10 while attendees peruse artwork by Northampton artist Dave Russo.

At 7 p.m., Russo will give a demonstration of his scribble technique and answer questions.

Council on Aging breakfast set for July 16

COLRAIN — The Colrain Council on Aging invites seniors to attend a buffet-style breakfast at Shelburne Springs on Route 2 on Wednesday, July 16, at 11:30 a.m.

The event is free to attend, though $2 donations are recommended and space is limited. Children are not allowed.

Low-waste sewing workshop coming July 12

ASHFIELD — Join Andrea Caluori for a free afternoon of sewing at Belding Memorial Library on Saturday, July 12, at 1 p.m.

Caluori will lead a beginner class on low-waste sewing. Patterns will be provided by the library, but attendees will need to bring their own fabric and sewing machine.
