July 13: Sanderson Academy reunion concert

ASHFIELD — Sanderson Academy alumni and music lovers are invited to attend a Sanderson reunion concert on Sunday, July 13.

The Ashfield Community Band will perform at 3 p.m. at the Plain Schoolhouse at 29 Baptist Corner Road.

July 13: Buckland Historical Society open house

BUCKLAND — Visitors are invited to learn about the history of Buckland and its agricultural background at the Buckland Historical Society’s open house on Sunday, July 13.

From 1 to 4 p.m., the Historical Society museum at 20 Upper St. and the Wilder Homestead at 129 Route 112 will be open to visitors. At the museum, guests can see historical photos, documents and other artifacts, and at the homestead, visitors can explore a furnished 1775 saltbox with five fireplaces, a restored 1790 English barn and a shoemaker shop.

Registration full for Council on Aging breakfast

COLRAIN — The Colrain Council on Aging is no longer accepting registrations for the July 16 breakfast. The event has reached the 50-person maximum.

Two community picnics planned

ASHFIELD — St. John’s Episcopal Church and the First Congregational Church of Ashfield will hold community picnics on Thursdays, July 10 and Aug. 14, at 5:30 p.m.

All are invited to the St. John’s Episcopal Church lawn at 6 South St. for burgers, hot dogs and lemonade. The event is free to attend and participants are welcome to bring a dish to share.
