May 10: Tree identification walk

ROWE — The Berkshire Environmental Action Team will lead a tree identification walk at Pelham Lake Park on Saturday, May 10, at 10 a.m.

This guided walk will last approximately an hour and a half, and will involve slow-paced stops. Appropriate attire for the weather is recommended.

Participants will learn key characteristics of trees that are commonly found in western Massachusetts. Led by a naturalist and tree enthusiast, the walk will include tips for recognizing tree species throughout the year, regardless of whether leaves are present.

This event, organized in collaboration with the Rowe Park Commission, is free. However, space is limited, so those interested in attending are encouraged to reserve their spot by emailing chelsey@thebeatnews.org.
