Where to celebrate Independence Day in Franklin County

Greenmind Fair & Share LLC will host a Fourth of July festival at the Franklin County Fairgrounds, 89 Wisdom Way, on Friday, July 4, from 2 to 10 p.m.
Live music will be offered all day, with a variety of family-friendly activities and workshops, such as Fourth of July necklace crafting, a sensory creation station, face painting and hula hoops. There will be six bounce houses across the festival grounds. A fireworks display, starting at 9:15 p.m., will end the night.
Adult activities will include a 21 and older area with adult gaming and vendor pop-ups from event sponsors. Beer trucks and tents will also be open, along with food trucks and vendors.
Admission is $15 at the gate or $10 online in advance. Children ages 5 and under will be admitted for free, and admission for children and teens ages 6 to 18 costs $5. Tickets are available at bit.ly/4eGpHR9.
Additionally, on Saturday, July 5, Blessed Trinity Parish will offer a pre-fireworks party on the grounds of Blessed Sacrament Church, 221 Federal St. starting at 6:30 p.m. in advance of the Greenfield Recreation Department’s fireworks display.
Family-friendly activities like crafts, glitter tattoos and face painting will be available, along with music and snacks. Free hot dogs will be provided by the Knights of Columbus.
The Montague Center Fire Department’s annual bonfire will return Thursday, July 3, at the Montague Center Park ballfield.

Hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers and water will be served starting at 6:30 p.m., then live music will begin at 7 p.m. with Michelle May and Heath Lewis. Guests are encouraged to bring a chair or a blanket for the event.
Apex Orchards will host a fireworks show at the farm store at 225 Peckville Road on Saturday, July 5. The fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. and are expected to last until 10:30 p.m. However, attendees are welcome to come early to set up a spot to watch with blankets and chairs.
Mini cider doughnuts, drinks, ice cream treats, glowsticks and more will be available for purchase starting at 6 p.m. A rain date has been set for Sunday, July 6.
The Fourth of July parade and to-go chicken barbecue meal hosted by the Shelburne Grange will be held Friday, July 4.
The parade will begin near the former Buckland Highway Garage on Conway Street at 11:30 a.m. and will end at Buckland-Shelburne Elementary School, 75 Mechanic St.
The chicken barbecue and a car show will be held on the school grounds after the parade. To-go meals cost $15 and will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. In addition to chicken, meals come with a baked potato, coleslaw and a roll.

Lake Wyola will have two events during the Fourth of July weekend, with the first being the annual lighted boat parade and decorating contest on Thursday, July 3, at dusk.
Then on Friday, July 4, a water carnival will start at 10 a.m. at Kinder Beach. There will be swimming races for children, all-ages kayak races, and prizes and drawings for the King and Queen of the Lake. The event will be held rain or shine.
Tree House Brewing Co. will offer fireworks on Thursday, July 3, at 8:45 p.m. The event, located at the brewery at 1 Community Place, requires tickets to attend at the venue, but fireworks will be visible to residents in South Deerfield, including on the fields behind Frontier Regional and Deerfield Elementary schools.
