The top amateur girls golfers in the state will be heading to Bernardston this week.

Crumpin-Fox Club is hosting the 92nd Girls’ Junior Amateur Championship, which begins on Monday and runs through Thursday. There are 39 competitors in the Championship Division, four golfers in the Silver Division and three in the Junior Mite Division.

The first group will hit the course at 8 a.m. on Monday.

The Championship Division is open to golfers age 18 and under with a handicap index of 10.1 or less, the Silver Division is for girls aged 14-18 with a handicap index of 10.2 or better while the Junior Mite Division is for golfers age 13 and under.

All four begin on Monday, with each member of the Championship Division playing 18 holes on Monday and Tuesday. The top 16 scorers advance to match play, with the quarterfinals taking place on Wednesday. The semifinals and finals will both take place on Thursday.

The Silver Division is stroke play, with each player playing 18 holes on Monday and Tuesday to determine the winner. The Junior Mite Division features nine holes of stroke play on both Monday and Tuesday.

The Girls’ Junior Amateur Championship is the second of three Mass Golf events Crumpin-Fox is hosting this year. Crump already held a U.S. Open local qualifier in May and in August will be the home of the 2025 Mass Golf New England Junior Amateur Championship. Crump will be home to the New England Junior Amateur Championship for the next three years.

Monday is the first Mass Golf Championship event Crumpin-Fox has hosted since 2019, when it held the Mass Golf Junior Amateur Championship.
