A dominant effort in the championship game propelled the Valley Storm 14U Black softball team to a title at the Greylock Thunder Summer Storm Tournament over the weekend in North Adams.
The Storm posted a 5-1 record on the weekend, racking up 59 total hits including 10 doubles, three triples and the first ever out-of-the-park home run for Carson Farrell. In the title game against the host Greylock Thunder, Valley scored first and never looked back while racking up 14 runs in only four innings to earn a 14-0 mercy-rule win.
The bats couldn’t miss, defense was flawless, and Olivia Lemay earned MVP accolades by commanding the game allowing no hits and no walks.
