Residents are advised that their tap water may be a little discolored in the afternoon. Homeowners are encouraged to run the water to clear up any discoloration prior to drinking the water or doing laundry.

Hydrants are flushed to ensure high-quality water by removing sediment that may have entered the system from rusting pipe work, water main breaks, etc. Secondly, during flushing, every fire hydrant in town is used, allowing the city to identify malfunctioning hydrants so they can be repaired before being needed in an emergency situation.
