Monday, May 19

12:29 p.m. — Passerby reports two male parties are fistfighting at Poet’s Seat Tower. No fighting found upon police arrival.

5:03 p.m. — Reporting party from Camp Avenue states a black Toyota Sienna driven by a female stopped outside his house and he believes she was going to grab his child. Police checked the adjoining streets and surrounding area but did not locate the vehicle.

8:08 p.m. — Male party is reportedly standing in front of Green Fields Market on Main Street staring in the window. Male party wanted a cigarette. Was advised the store was closed and moved along. Services rendered.

Tuesday, May 20

11:07 a.m. — John Edmund Cahill, 44, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant on Bernardston Road.

11:15 a.m. — Report of a vehicle operating erratically. Reporting party states the vehicle was traveling up Parkway Street toward Mountain Road, hit the stop sign on the triangle and ran over it, leaving it in the middle of the road. A second caller struck the downed sign. Department of Public Works to respond.

1:10 p.m. — Caller reports a dump truck is on fire on High Street. Fire Department notified. Got in contact with the Department of Public Works. Problem was found to be an exhaust issue.

3:45 p.m. — Reporting party on Federal Street states a German shepherd has been following him around town for about an hour. Animal was returned to its owner. Services rendered.

8:03 p.m. — Caller reports someone is trying to break into his apartment on Conway Street. Not as reported. Male party is trying to get his truck keys.

12:18 a.m. — Reporting party reports being approached by a “very well-dressed” old man and a “not-so-well-dressed” young man at Cumberland Farms on Federal Street who requested gas money. Reporting party states the interaction felt weird and the combination of the pair was strange. Area checked, gone on arrival.

8:22 a.m. — Report of breaking and entering into a gray 2022 Subaru Legacy on Prospect Street. Window smashed. Nothing taken. Report issued.

12:07 p.m. — A 93-year-old veteran is inquiring whether he can ride his electric lawn mower in the Memorial Day parade as he is unable to walk that distance. We has advised he could do so as long as he stayed on the side of the road.

12:42 p.m. — Report of a female party in the roadway at Pierce and Chapman streets with a lawn mower obstructing traffic. Female party was mowing the lawn, was not in the roadway.

7:38 p.m. — Caller on Armory Street reports her stroller was stolen off her back porch the night before. Services rendered.

Thursday, May 22

11:14 a.m. — Report of multiple items stolen from potentially multiple cases at Whitney Hill Antiques on Main Street. Report issued.

5:11 p.m. — Caller reports her daughter’s foot was run over near Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center on Main Street. Reports the driver was a male party in a light blue sedan. Caller took her daughter to Baystate Franklin Medical Center. Cameras do not reach that area.

5:40 p.m. — Report of an unwanted person at Applebee’s Grill + Bar on the Mohawk Trail. Male party is reportedly yelling and screaming, and refusing to leave. Moved along. Services rendered.

8:32 p.m. — Report of a parking problem on Franklin Street. Caller is upset with how her neighbor is parking. Spoke with both parties and advised them the issue is civil in nature, could explore options through the court system. Neither party seems willing to compromise with the ongoing parking dispute. Services rendered.

11:48 p.m. — Reporting party from Wells Street states a male party has been sleeping on his back porch. Asked him to move along and he is still lingering in the area. Reporting party also reports finding a lighter and a knife left behind. Male party was advised not to trespass at the location. Services rendered.

Friday, May 23

4:20 a.m. — Reporting party on Crescent Street states her dog just woke her from a sound sleep barking and now the dog is fixated on a front window in the living room. Unfounded.

11:34 a.m. — Store manager from Aubuchon Hardware on Federal Street states a $400 pizza oven was taken and he has video footage. Officer to investigate.

12:45 p.m. — Owner of Z’s Laundromat on Federal Street reports a customer is harassing his employees. Civil dispute over the price of laundry. Peace restored.

4:01 p.m. — Charlie C. Murphy, 33, of Chapman Street in Greenfield, was arrested on three warrants on Chapman Street.

Saturday, May 24

12:28 p.m. — Report of threats being made at Cumberland Farms on Federal Street. Two male parties in a white truck with Connecticut plates threatened bodily harm and then drove off. Caller had a verbal exchange with one of the two males in the bathroom about the length of time using the facility. Caller found a cellphone in the bathroom that is believed to be theirs and while bringing it to the counter, the two re-entered the store and accused him of trying to steal it. Services rendered.

4:20 p.m. — Disturbance reported at Federal and Stanley streets. Caller reports four people are fighting over keys. Parties were separated and the situation was mediated.

5:16 p.m. — Caller reports a calf in the roadway on Lampblack Road. Reporting party states he put the calf back in the barn and the calf has hay, but no water.

Sunday, May 25

9:04 a.m. — Reporting party states a male party in his mid-50s came into Mass at Holy Trinity Church on Main Street and was yelling. Was escorted out. Male party was advised not to trespass at the church and was warned about continued behavior. Services rendered.

9:33 a.m. — Male party is back in the area of Holy Trinity Church pacing and shouting. Officers stood by, no issues observed.

2:24 p.m. — Caller reports harassment from men at The Victoria Bar on Chapman Street while she heads up to her apartment. Reporting party wants officers to speak with the involved male parties and ask them to move away from her door.

4:26 p.m. — After a traffic stop on Leyden Road, Isaiah Pantoja-Beckta, 30, of Holyoke, was arrested on a warrant, as well as on charges of unregistered motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

6:46 p.m. — Caller from Subway on Federal Street reports someone stole their tips. Report issued.

8:26 p.m. — Travis S. Crowley, 43 of Waldoboro, Maine, was arrested at Camp Kee-wanee on Health Camp Road on a warrant, as well as on charges of possession with intent to distribute a Class A drug, possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug, possession with intent to distribute a Class C drug, possession of a Class B drug (two counts) and conspiracy to violate drug law. Also arrested was Carol A. Crowley, 37, of Waldoboro, Maine, on charges of possession with intent to distribute a Class A drug, possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug, possession with intent to distribute a Class C drug, possession of a Class B drug (two counts) and conspiracy to violate drug law.

Monday, May 26

9:25 a.m. — Report of malicious destruction on Barton Road. Reporting party states multiple mailboxes were damaged and would like to speak to an officer.

3:00 p.m. — Caller states she heard three of either gunshots or fireworks at around 2 a.m. She then found two casings outside her residence. Located two 9mm casings at the corner of Prospect Avenue and Armory Street. Canvassed the area, no damage to vehicles or homes found. No viable cameras in the area.
