David C. Kempf: On Biden’s greatest asset

In John Paradis’ recent My Turn [“Message of hope needed to eclipse rancor,” Recorder, Feb. 28], he stated that President Joe Biden’s greatest asset is his genuine love and concern for the American people. Well, let’s look back at Biden’s disgraceful withdrawal from Afghanistan, in August 2021 leaving 13 U.S. soldiers to lose their lives, abandoning thousands of Americans and leaving billions in U.S. equipment in the Taliban’s hands. Being a retired military officer,he should understand that can’t be a true statement.
