As the founder of Parents for Plant Medicine, I would like to offer a correction to the recent article “Push to legalize psychedelics in Mass. met with caution” [Recorder, May 28], which incorrectly stated that my organization supported the failed ballot substitution pushed by James Davis/Bay Staters for Natural Medicine.

Parents for Plant Medicine is no longer affiliated with Bay Staters and instead is working to support the passage of the original ballot question sponsored by New Approach and Massachusetts for Mental Health Options. As the mother of an adult child suffering from treatment-resistant depression, the spouse of a veteran with debilitating PTSD, and an individual who has personally found immense relief from a psychedelic trauma retreat for veteran spouses overseas, I feel that this ballot question offers the best hope for bringing this powerful healing option to the citizens of Massachusetts.
