Rosemary A. Seifert-Graf: Our president’s first and most important actions

President Trump’s first important action is pardoning all Jan. 6 Capitol rioters (1,500-plus) regardless of what they did. One hundred and seventy-four U.S. Capitol Police officers were attacked and nearly a dozen people died in connection with the riot. Some of these rioters are members of Oath Keepers and Proud Boys.
The ones who did the worst crimes were tried by their peers and sentenced. Property damages exceeded $2.7 million. Some screamed to kill Nancy Peloski. Others yelled “Hang Mike Pence.” Pardoning all these people now has told people that violent actions are right, go for it.
Trump also pardoned Ross Ulbricht, who was behind the Silk Road criminal market (a dark web site) that sold people, sold illegal drugs, fake driver’s licenses, passports and Social Security cards. He was convicted by a jury and was jailed. This action tells all, just make a criminal website and steal from all, it’s OK. His next pardon goes to Lauren Handy, that anti-abortion advocate who directed her group to chain themselves and lock the doors to a Washington abortion clinic. She was sentenced to nearly five years of prison.
Again, if one disagrees about a business, clinic, or other places, it’s a perfect action to block them.
Trump’s next important action is to threaten to take Greenland for his needs. Greenland is part of the Kingdom of Denmark. His threats continue. He threatens to take over the Panama Canal. He also wants Canada to become our next state in the union. Doesn’t matter that these areas belong to other countries. Finally, the most important action to be done, is Trump declaring renaming the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America. Also, he decrees Mount Denali in Alaska is renamed Mount McKinley.
What other areas does he want changed? You would think our president would be working on making our health system cheaper, our heating cheaper and clean, and our food affordable.
