The other night after a snowstorm, the Montague Department of Public Works plowed my street. The next morning, I noticed my mailbox on its side. The wooden pole holding it was broken off at ground level.

After contacting the DPW, I was told someone would be over to inspect the damage. The “inspector” decided that my mailbox was not hit by a DPW plow but fell over from snow. Guess it was an “act of God” all-powerful snow — methinks snow must have had help from a snowplow.

The outcome is that I must pay for repairs to my mailbox post. Is this fair?
