Residents invited to weigh in on placemaking report

NORTHFIELD — Residents are invited to a public forum on Monday, Feb. 10, at 6 p.m. at the Northfield Senior Center to share their thoughts on a draft placemaking report before it is revised and presented to the Selectboard.

Placemaking is the process of creating quality places where people want to live, work, play and learn. According to a post on the Northfield town website, residents participated in several placemaking workshops throughout the fall, working with consultant Wayne Feiden. Those thoughts and comments have been compiled into a final draft of a placemaking report, which includes recommendations for how the infrastructure on Main Street can be improved to achieve goals of increasing walkability, safety and community engagement.
