April 26: ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’ to be streamed at Memorial Hall Theater

SHELBURNE FALLS — Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” is coming to Memorial Hall Theater on Saturday, April 26, at 1 p.m.

The performance will be streamed live from The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The opera, also known as “The Marriage of Figaro,” tells the story of Figaro, a servant in the household of a Spanish count who wants to marry another servant, Susanna, and the challenges they face as the count seeks to thwart them.

Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Tickets are $22 at the door. For more information, visit shelburnefallsmemorialhall.org.

April 30 program to discuss health care proxies

SHELBURNE FALLS — Prepare for future health care needs during an upcoming workshop on choosing health care proxies on Wednesday, April 30, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Senior Center, 7 Main St.

Elder law attorney Renee Rastorfer and a Franklin Regional Council of Governments nurse will discuss how to choose someone who can be responsible for making medical decisions on your behalf if you become incapacitated.

The workshop is free to attend, but advanced registration is requested so the Senior Center knows how much pizza to order. Contact the center at 413-625-2502 to register.

Third annual Audrey’s Angels Craft Fair set for May 3

BUCKLAND — Residents are invited to buy creations from local artisans and craftspeople at the third annual Audrey’s Angels Craft Fair to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Mohawk Trail Student Council.

On Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., more than 30 local artists will be showcasing their homemade soaps, jewelry, woodwork, pottery and more at Mohawk Trail Regional School. Vendor fees are being donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in memory of Audrey Clark, a Shelburne resident who lost her battle with cystic fibrosis in 2019.
