The Frontier boys volleyball team opened its season on Thursday against Chicopee Comp, with the Colts getting out to a fast start to earn a 3-0 sweep over the Redhawks at Goodnow Gymnasium. 

Chicopee Comp won the opening set by a score of 25-22, walked away with a 25-17 win in the second set before taking the third set, 25-8. 

Jack Carey finished with five kills, Dean Gray recorded two kills, Will Petrin tallied three aces while Theo Sargent had two aces for Frontier. 

DA scores

The Deerfield Academy baseball team made it two wins in a row to open the season on Wednesday with a 4-3 victory over Westminster. 

Also on Wednesday the Big green boys lacrosse team battled back in the fourth against Belmont Hill to send the game to overtime. Belmont Hill scored in the extra session to walk away with a 13-12 victory.
