The writer of the July 19 letter [“Creepy mask-wearing”] states that she feels that people who continue to wear masks are “kind of creepy.” She also states that people who detest Trump have continued to wear masks long after Covid was over. I find it kind of absurd that the writer conflates wearing a mask creepy and with being anti-Trump, although I do detest him and what he stands for. I’ve been wearing a mask for health reasons, in crowded situations for five years because I don’t want Covid and I haven’t had a cold or flu in all this time. So if caring for my health and the health of others is seen as being anti-Trump, I guess that’s a twofer.
