Hawley election ballot sees nine uncontested races

HAWLEY — All nine positions on Hawley’s election ballot are uncontested.

Polls will be open on Monday, May 5, from 11:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Town Office at 8 Pudding Hollow Road.

Uncontested positions on the ballot are as follows:

■Selectboard, three-year term — Hussain Hamdan, incumbent.

■Assessor, three-year term — No one is on the ballot, though incumbent Ed Brady is running a write-in campaign.

■Auditor, one-year term — No one is on the ballot, though incumbent Ashley Harrison is running a write-in campaign.

■Moderator, one-year term — No one is on the ballot, though incumbent Scott Purinton is running a write-in campaign.

■Town clerk, three-year term — No one is on the ballot. If no one is written in, the Selectboard will reappoint current Town Clerk Ellie Van Iderstine, who lives in Charlemont.

■Hawlemont Regional School District School Committee, three-year term — No one is on the ballot, though incumbent Kiley Turner is running a write-in campaign.

■Local Education Council, three-year term — Suzanne Crawford, incumbent.
